Paul started out doing solar construction, way back in 1980. Working for Trident Energy Systems at that time, he worked on the Suntree apartments and the solar homes of North Davis. Paul attended UCDavis, studying Engineering & Design. He received his initial custom home building & home remodeling training  when he worked for Ridge Builders Group in Davis, in the mid eighties to early nineties. Paul earned his contractors license and started Consol Construction in 1993.

Paul has been happily married since 1980. Paul & Kim raised their children in Davis, later moving to Capay Valley, where Kim started Star.Rose Ranch.
To help his community, Paul volunteers for the Capay Valley Fire Department.

The eldest of their four grandchildren, 18 year old Isaiah, has recently started working for Consol Construction, making it a true multi generational family business.
